Google Risk Operations Team Lead, Trust and Safety in Dublin, Ireland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Typically 10 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.

  • Experience in people management, leading a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with and knowledge of SQL.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

  • Lead team to ensure everyone is focused on the most important and impactful work, holding the team accountable for results.

  • Gather information relevant to the business, break down the information, make comparisons and trade-offs between similar and dissimilar options, and identify the option that is most desirable for achieving the goals.

  • Be the escalation point for the team and run discussions with cross-functional partners.

  • Initiate and lead projects to resolve abuse- and harm-fighting and mitigation problems, and build trusted user experiences of high complexity.

  • Strengthen global partnerships with stakeholders, across and beyond Trust and Safety, to identify and advance common goals, act as a reliable domain expert for stakeholders.
