Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer (Backend) Intern to join our Autodesk Platform Services Data Models teams. As a member of the team, you will play an important role in the definition and development of core technologies for building the next generation of cloud and data platform. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on craftsperson who loves to solve challenging practical problems related to cloud platforms, data streaming, backend development, APIs, and Cloud/Web applications.

Responsibilities

• Experiment, learn, and grow using latest cutting edge cloud and data streaming technologies

• Develop backend APIs for cloud and data platform

• Develop data streaming apps, create observability metrics, work on CI/CD pipelines

• Implement prototypes and software components

• Collaborate with our team of engineers to design, plan, develop, test, deliver and maintain complex features and new subsystems

• Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly

• Keep up to date with latest trends and technologies to anticipate future development needs and requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS Student in Computer Science or a related technical field

• Detail oriented and passionate about building software and technology

• A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience with Git or equivalent revision control systems

• Familiarity with software development and design principles

• Java programming skills

• In addition, AWS, Python, CI/CD or DevOps is plus

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• Knows about data streaming applications, designs and challenges
