Position: Controller

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller with manufacturing experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and fostering collaboration across departments. This position is on-site 5 days a week and located in Dover, NJ. The Controller will serve as a key financial leader within the organization, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting while supporting various business functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full general ledger process, including analyzing and reconciling accounts for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including providing detailed monthly variance reports.

  • Manage the annual audit process and work closely with external firms to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

  • Supervise treasury functions, including cash flow management, and assist with annual insurance renewals.

  • Monitor, enforce, and improve compliance with internal controls and organizational policies.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to address and resolve accounting-related issues.

  • Take ownership of ad-hoc financial projects and other duties as needed.

    Requirements

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.

  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Must have Manufacturing Industry experience.

  • ERP system experience, with preference given to those with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to shifting demands, priorities, and schedules while maintaining a positive outlook.

  • Demonstrated accountability in meeting individual and team objectives.

  • Proven professionalism in both internal interactions and external representation of the company.
