Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport Airport Maintenance/Operations Technician in DICKINSON, North Dakota

*[Job Summary

[Under the supervision and direction of the Operations/Maintenance Supervisor, this is a full-time position with the Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority, maintaining all aspects of the Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport. This position demands a high level of professionalism and involves multiple duties including but not limited to, facilities and airfield maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance, responding to emergencies as an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF). Organizing, inventorying, airport shop supplies, performs technical maintenance and repairs of airport vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds, some of which are located in secure areas. Interacts with airport stakeholders, tenants and cooperative agencies, and also participates in department education and training programs.

  • Performs a variety of technical maintenance tasks in the airport terminal, SRE building, ARFF Station, and other airport managed buildings and grounds.
  • Maintains and repairs automatic doors, gates and fencing.
  • Maintains records of operations and equipment.
  • Operates a variety of equipment including mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment, etc. as required to maintain airport grounds.
  • Performs inspection duties of the grounds, terminal building, lighting system, and signage of airport.
  • Inventories and orders shop supplies, oils, grease, and other vehicle or equipment parts as required. Orders vehicle cleaning supplies, and maintains and repairs cleaning equipment.
  • Performs a variety of tasks in the airport terminal, including maintenance of: plumbing and electrical; technological door and lock systems, air intake and ventilation systems, perimeter fence and airfield areas.
  • Performs other duties which may include a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency maintenance tasks; such as: plumbing, electrical, flooring, ceiling, wall, and roof repairs, cooling system repairs, billboard and sign repairs, painting, light construction, and other repairs.

``` - Performs technical repairs on airport vehicles and equipment, oil and lubrication services, 50 hour, 100 hour, quarterly and annual inspections. - Issues (Notice to Airmen) (NOTAMs) through FSS, Grand Forks on airfield conditions and/or operations. - Performs snow and Ice control functions on the airfield in compliance with the DIK snow and ice control plan (SICP) which includes runways, taxiways, aprons and ramp areas. - Uses aircraft radios, VHF radios, and correct radio protocols including aircraft specific terminology, and communications when operating in airfield movement and non-movement areas.

``` - Performs some office work which may include typing, filing, copying, faxing, internet research in reference to repairs and maintenance.

Assists other airport departments with maintenance related tasks.
