Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Core Selling Partner Experience in Detroit, Michigan
Description
The Core Selling Partner Experience team defines, implements, and enforces quality standards for all Amazon-built experiences for all of our selling partners worldwide. We are seeking an innovative, entrepreneurial Senior Program Manager to drive end-to-end Personalization across the Selling Partner experience. This program is responsible for driving our vision to make Amazon's selling tools more valuable for Sellers through relevant and timely experiences that are contextually aware of the individual's unique journey, priorities, and opportunities (i.e. Personalized). To deliver on this mission, we: 1) create data, services, and technology that enable other builders across Amazon stores to consistently and reliably personalize Seller interactions, and 2) deliver a personalized “Command Center” experience that enables every SP to start selling quickly, understand their business performance, and act on the highest value opportunities to achieve their unique goals. The successful candidate will be exceptional at working backwards from the Selling Partner to understand the customer journey, is skilled at communicating with both technical and business leaders, is capable of managing difficult cross-functional projects/goals, effectively influences across teams, and leveraging data to inform decisions and strategy. Success in this role is defined by enabling widespread repeat usage of our behavioral analytics tools by internal builder teams and delivering concrete business outcomes through key stakeholder teams based on the insights generated.
Key job responsibilities
• Defines program requirements and drives teams/partners to meet goals. Accelerates progress by driving timely decisions.
• Able to spot risks, ask the right questions, clear blockers, and escalate appropriately. Makes trade-offs.
• Influences customer roadmap priorities and decisions
• Creation of communication mechanisms for collaboration across VP orgs in Selling Partner Services
• Effective communication with Senior and VP level partners both written and verbal
• Manages the lifecycle of complex initiatives. Unblocks teams and increases the speed of delivery. Negotiates resources and priorities. Able to find a path forward in difficult situations.
• Makes trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.
• Perform general administrative functions such as scheduling meetings, event management, and marketing
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Demonstrated experience in data analytics and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets
Experience in connecting analytics solutions to measurable business outcomes
Experience working with constrained resources and an ability to think creatively on how to accomplish the job
Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence others
Curiosity to dive deep into Amazon’s suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
Experience in a fast-paced dynamic sometimes ambiguous environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
Preferred Qualifications
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define the right business strategy and develop the product roadmap to deliver it, even in the face of ambiguity
Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
