Amrock, LLC has multiple openings for the position of Data Engineer I (Ref# DE1AMR).

Work Location:  662 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48226.  Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Work under the direction and mentorship of more senior data engineers. Employ at least one programming language to perform data development functions across one or more project teams. Build mechanisms to move, integrate, cleanse, and publish large volume datasets. Maintain infrastructure of data within the data warehouse or data lake, including setting ETL processes. Document data mapping specifications, including source-to-target data mapping specifications and updating mapping specifications as they change through the development process. Support new and evolving sources of data. Modify existing data sources. Ensure data is clean, complete, and consumable. Test and implement data models. Develop and support data and application integration processes. Gather business requirements and implement solutions designed by senior data engineers that provide visibility into data via the centralized data reporting platform. Develop reports to fulfill business needs. Follow best practices for data management consumption. Model application layer and metadata design. Design and create automated applications and reporting solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to integration jobs. Participate in an on-call rotation and production code pushes after regular business hours. Research and promote new tools and techniques to shape the future of the data environment.

Requirements:  This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics/Data Analytics, or a related field. Plus 3 months of experience in the job offered or 3 months in a related occupation including Technical Intern or related experience. Position requires 3 months of experience with the following tools/technologies/skills: business requirements; SQL or Oracle or AWS; Python or R or C# or Java; and data integration tools.  40hrs/week.
