About Fort Logan:
The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan (CMHIFL) is one of two state hospitals serving our community. The vision of CMHIFL is to provide the highest quality mental health services to persons with complex, serious, and persistent mental illness within the resources available. Our mission is to support those individuals in achieving their recovery goals and reaching their full potential. CMHIFL provides inpatient treatment to adult patients, generally between the ages of 18-59. The hospital currently has 138 adult inpatient beds, over six treatment milieus serving civil and forensic individuals. Medical services, occupational therapy, neuropsychological-rehabilitation services, and trauma-informed care services are available for all patients throughout the hospital.

The Nutrition Services Department provides quality meals and medical nutrition therapy to patients in a mental health facility. Meals meet the nutritional, medical, spiritual, cultural and mental health needs of the patient population and are prepared in a manner that meets established standards.

Description of Job
This position reports to work on-site as duties require actively performing tasks in various locations throughout the hospital.
About this Position:
This position is a fully operational Program Coordinator who develops, implements, coordinates activities to ensure operations, guidelines, and expectations are being met by the Nutrition Services Department.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides administrative support to the Director
Manages and maintains departmental documentation, drives and calendars
Develops and maintains personnel files
Manages PAFs in eClearance
Provides timekeeping coordination and support utilizing the KRONOS system
Manages procurement operations
Prepares budget reports and projections and works with the CFO’s office on appropriate coding strings for completion of receiving reports and pcard allocations.
Establishes work plans for projects and implements program rules, policies and other guidelines.
Convenes and disseminates information to the team regarding organizational needs, work progress, policies and more.
Provides technical guidance
Leads in the coordination of quality improvement initiatives within Nutrition Services
Establishes project deadlines, ensures timely completion and coordinates or delegates the responsibility of project work amongst staff.
Leads the implementation of Nutrition Services efforts as it relates to hospital growth/expansion to include client culinary and/or apprenticeship programs and/or the patient kudos program.
Manages the overall implementation of the culinary program and/or apprenticeship program within Nutrition Services.
Manages the food product portion of the kudos program within the hospital and establishes and continually refines program processes, procedures and structure in order to ensure effectiveness of programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as in planning, developing, directing, and implementing activities of a program operation or similar work experience.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in interpreting complex rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines
Experience with administrative and clerical duties such as managing files, creating documents, developing tracking tools, and meeting coordination, to include meeting minutes and action plans as well as other office procedures.
A degree/education relating to nutrition services and/or food services.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Experience tracking and managing a budget
Experience using Colorado Operations and Resource Engine (CORE), NEOGOV, eClearance, Kronos, and/or CBORD
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and/or Google Applications
Experience managing a procurement card
Ability to research and gather data
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Self-directed and motivated work ethic
Ability to work independently with little or no direction
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail that include the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong computer skills
Conditions of Employment:
The successful candidate in this position must be willing and available to submit to the following conditions:
