Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Replacement Project Coordination

  • Utilize recruitment technology/talent acquisition expertise to act as liaison between ES and campus recruiting/position management stakeholders

  • Gather and document requirements from campus and system HR recruiters

  • Oversee RFP process including meeting coordination, analysis and voting

  • Apply knowledge of CU specific recruiting business processes, and functional best practices to guide campuses toward appropriate HR technology solution

  • Present project process, issues and recommendations

  • Provide expertise in recruiting laws and policies, including COWINS Partnership Agreement and State of Colorado Personnel Rules

  • Lead and support the software implementation and change management efforts upon tool selection

  • State of Colorado Liaison

  • Act as the liaison to the State of Colorado on reporting requirements

  • Convene campus HR personnel for COWINS meetings and trainings

  • Provide expertise in the classified staff system and assist campus HR groups with recommendations

  • Attend State of Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration meetings and disseminate information to HR offices

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

What We Offer:

Salary: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)

  • Five (5) years' experience and demonstrated performance in experience working with and/or managing recruitment, position management, and/or working with classified staff personnel within a Colorado institute of higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or post-baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Seven (7) years' professional experience

  • MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field

  • Experience in higher education recruitment

  • Consistent track record of being a successful change agent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional leadership skills that are demonstrated by achieving desired results through others, while building effective internal customer relationships

  • Strategic and critical thinking skills as well as an ability to complete tasks and projects

  • Ability to work in a team environment and delegate appropriately

  • Proven project management leadership and ability to meet deadlines as established in milestone plans

  • Skillful at aggregating spend in a sophisticated and decentralized organization

  • Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds

  • Knowledge of human resources rules, regulations, and standard processes

  • Computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and learn and experiment with new software and systems

  • Strong interpersonal, consulting, verbal, and writing skills with the ability to communicate important messages to all levels of the organization

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to effectively manage various personalities and persuade others to take particular courses of action

  • Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the public

  • Ability to accurately research and apply federal/state program compliance requirements

  • Develops and maintains relationships with UIS, campus stakeholders, and third-party vendors

  • Evaluates current recruiting business processes and understands campus/end-user needs to recommend and deliver quality system solutions

  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding the resolution of issues, requirements gathering, and providing status updates and presentations

  • Applies knowledge of CU recruiting best practices and related technology trends to guide campuses toward appropriate HR technology solutions

Employee Services provides the CU community with excellent services from recruitment to retirement. This office provides technical expertise while administering benefits, professional development, payroll, individual tax management, and strategic HR programs.
