Position Summary: The Women's Soccer Head Coach is responsible for leading a program that has enjoyed a richtradition in the RMAC and NCAA Division II including two NCAA National Championships in 2004 and 2006.The coach will direct all phases of the Women's Soccer program by establishing and maintaining a high standard of excellence, which includes recruiting academically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, scouting, conditioning, supervising the assistant coaching staff, managing the program budget, generating revenue, and other duties assigned.In addition, the Head Coach isresponsible for ensuring that all duties are executed in compliance with NCAA, RMAC and institutional regulations.Metropolitan State University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of NCAA Division II Women's Soccer program.

Coordinate all activities in preparation for scheduled competition.

Work with the Director of Athletics on the selection and scheduling of team contests.

Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

Facilitate a team environment that fosters the holistic growth and development of the student-athlete.

Develop and conduct pre-season, in-season and off-season training and conditioning programs for the team.

Plan and direct athletic skill development for student-athletes.

Monitor and operate within budgetary guidelines established by the Director of Athletics.

Evaluate performance of assistant coaches.

Work in collaboration with Athletics administrative staff in Compliance to advise student-athletes and staff of applicable intercollegiate athletic rules, regulations, and University policies and ensure compliance of such regulations.

Work in collaboration with Athletics administrative staff in Student-Athlete Welfare to inform student-athletes of academic and other matters pertaining to their enrollment and educational progress.

Monitor student-athlete academic performance and implement team, athletic department, and University measures to support their academic performance.

Ensure student-athletes participation in Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) initiatives.

Ensure appropriate safety measures are observed when conducting team activities.

Cooperate with the University physicians and athletic trainer staff to ensure student-athletes receive proper medical and physical training services.

Work with alumni, student groups, University administration, and community groups to seek support for the team.

Assist the Director of Athletics in fundraising and revenue generation activities including camps/clinics.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Three years of experience coaching at the collegiate level. Important Note: Successful applicants will ensure their resumes clearly demonstrate that their work experience describes how they meet ALL required qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree,

Successful head coaching experience at the collegiate level

Knowledge of Division II rules
