Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager

Work Location: Denver, CO. May work remotely within commuting distance up to three days per week.

Job Duties: Manage enterprise-wide projects within Information Technology Services. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with technical leads and campus peers to design project plans to realize project solutions that support success and maximize customer satisfaction. Work closely with project leadership to prepare dashboards and reports outlining project status, regularly delivering presentations to technical and non-technical campus audiences, to drive transparency and build knowledge that lives beyond the life of the project. Lead a range of strategic and operational projects, ranging in scope from software implementations (i.e. cloud-based and SaaS) and application development projects, to infrastructure and process improvement projects. Tailor project management approach to match individual project goals and develop realistic project plans for the team to work against. Embrace a strong service and leadership ethic, supporting peers, building cross-departmental relationships, managing customer expectations, interfacing with Senior Leadership, and resolving conflicts to keep the project on track. Provide budget analysis and up-to-date timelines to department leadership, and flag risks early and often. Collaborate with the team to design shared project templates and continually improve project management processes that will be shared with peers in IT and across campus, creating consistency and expanding the impact of work. Communicate work to customers and leadership, including preparing presentations for internal and external groups. Assist with design of communications plans for projects keeping in mind change management best practices. Mentor junior team members, leading by example and helping them chart their careers in the project management field. Utilize skills and knowled including development and validation of project requirements; application of different project management methodologies; independently leading medium and large projects through the full project management life cycle; PM tools/templates (including Gantt chart, Risk Register, Stakeholder Register, Communication Plan, RACI chart, Risk Response Plan); and cloud services; as well as tools and technologies including Teamdynamix Project Management Tool, Teamdynamix ITSM, Workday Enterprise application, SharePoint, Project Management Software, Project Documentation Software, and other technologies and standards in carrying out assigned duties. Must hold the following recognized industry certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), ICAgile Certified Professional, and Certified or Professional Scrum Master.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Primary Education and Experience Requirements: Master of Science in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field; and 3 years' direct project management experience in an information technology environment. Alternate Education and Experience Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field + 5 years' (60 months) progressive, post-baccalaureate direct project management experience in an information technology environment (in lieu of MS + 3 years' experience).

Other Special Skills or Requirements: Position also requires functional expertise (3 years' experience) in development and validation of project requirements; application of different project management methodologies; independently leading medium and large projects through the full project management life cycle; PM tools/templates (inclu ing Gantt chart, Risk Register, Stakeholder Register, Communication Plan, RACI chart, and Risk Response Plan); and cloud services. Must hold the following recognized industry certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), ICAgile Certified Professional, and Certified or Professional Scrum Master. Employees in this position may work remotely within commuting distance up to three days per week.
