Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the real estate industry to find a Property Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in N. Denver. It is hybrid after training, and is paying $70-85k. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple properties

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for property-related expenses and income

• Monitor and analyze property operating expenses against budget and report on variances

• Coordinate with property managers to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information

• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and forecasts for each property

• Calculate and process monthly accruals and prepayments related to property expenses

• Prepare and file property tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations

• Perform Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations to ensure accurate allocation of expenses and tenant charges

• Assist with year-end audit processes and provide necessary documentation and support

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Budget Processes, Cash Activity, Cam Reconciliation, Yardi.

Requirements

Requirements:

• 2+ years as a property accountant (CAM recs required)

• Commercial property HIGHLY preferred

• Experience with Yardi, Appfolio, Rent Manager highly preferred.
