Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP of Clinical Practice and Quality, the Compliance Specialist performs and/or oversees a variety of associated administrative, staff support, and planning activities in support of the Compliance Team Maintains compliance matters database and coordinates the intake of compliance complaints daily. Conducts QA reviews of database on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Assists with monitoring & auditing compliance metrics required by the Company Assists with the preparation of reports for the Board of Directors Helps the Chief Compliance Officer with implementing the Compliance Work Plan and assists with monthly reporting of Compliance & Healthy Insurance Portability Accountability Act efforts and investigations Provides assistance at multiple levels as needed in order to complete projects on time and stay in compliance with Company and regulatory requirements Provides administrative support to the team to include preparing, proofing and editing documents; managing staff calendars, timekeeping and communications, scheduling meetings, and organizing and maintaining electronic and hard copy files Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor degree preferred; will consider applicants with experience in a compliance/internal audit related environment in lieu of degree At least two years of experience in compliance, internal audit, basic law or paralegal positions strongly preferred May substitute Masters degree or other advanced degree for years of experience Unquestionable ability to manage highly confidential information Analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
