What you'll do...

  • Lead and Manage Teams: Oversee Battery Manufacturing Engineering teams to plan, engineer, and launch manufacturing systems for Blue Oval SK Joint Venture, including facilities, core engineering, and program management.

  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with Product Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and partners like SK and Ford Land to ensure manufacturing feasibility, efficiency, and timely delivery of new products and facilities.

  • Drive Standardization and Improvement: Implement institutional knowledge for standardization and continuous improvement, leveraging lessons learned and benchmarking to drive excellence.

  • Strategic Resource Management: Develop resource requirements, hire and assign resources, provide technical expertise, and support employee development through training and mentorship.

  • Achieve BOSK Targets: Lead simultaneous engineering activities, cost studies, and investment efficiency efforts to meet Blue Oval SK targets, ensuring alignment with strategic plans and objectives.

You'll have...

  • Strong manufacturing engineering experience, minimum 10 years in managing teams on major projects.

  • Understanding/experience of overall automotive processes (powertrain preferred) and manufacturing business acumen .

  • Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Planning and Cost Study process to lead programs from concept through to implementation

  • Ability to think strategically and work with peer organizations within Ford to develop Model-E strategic plans

  • Frequent travel required to support business needs, primarily to Ford Blue Oval SK Battery Plant (BOSK) in Glendale, KY.

  • Engineering degree (Master’s preferred).

  • Relationship / Work Experience with Joint Ventures.

  • Knowledge and practical experience with automotive (powertrain preferred) manufacturing, engineering, production, and planning.
