Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse - West Bloomfield/Novi OR Dearborn LocationsJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team, focusing on radiation and medical oncology. The role involves coordinating and managing clinical research activities, with an initial emphasis on NCI cooperative group studies and a future expansion to pharmaceutical trials. The successful candidate will undergo training in Detroit for the first six weeks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical research activities at the West Bloomfield and Novi clinics.

• Identify and pre-screen potential patients by reviewing clinic schedules.

• Work with providers to raise awareness of potential patients.

• Consent patients and set up screenings, testing, and follow-up appointments.

• Guide providers on patient management, dosing, and care.

• Spin blood, store, and ship samples.

• Assist with scheduling and patient visits.

• Collaborate with the downtown team for support on studies.

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience in clinical care.

• Experience in oncology or clinical research.

• Ability to manage and take care of sick patients.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with oncology clinical research is a plus.

Work Environment

The Clinical Research Nurse will work across two clinics in West Bloomfield and Novi, with the initial schedule favoring West Bloomfield. Training will take place in Detroit for the first six weeks. The nurse will be the sole research team member at these sites but will receive support from a team lead who will travel to the site as needed. The role does not involve data entry or regulatory duties, and the nurse will collaborate with a downtown team consisting of a CRC and CRN. The environment focuses on enhancing research processes and providing robust support to each team member. The position offers the opportunity to accrue up to 4 weeks of vacation in the first year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
