Job Type Full-time Exemption Type Non-Exempt Location Dayton, OH US (Primary) Category Industry Professional Travel Minimal Job Description ORC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Right of Way Document Specialist to work on projects based out of Dayton, OH. The selected candidate will report to the client's office daily in Dayton, OH. The position is guaranteed for 6 months - 1 year with the possibility of being hired internally by the client. What you will be doing: As aDocument Specialistyou will be overseeing vendors, helping with project planning, sending projects out to bid to vendors, and supporting the client internally on electric transmission and/or distribution projects.Candidate will partner with Project Managers, Assistant Managers and ROW agents in day-to-day data entry, filing activities, and document creation including acquisition documents, line lists, and landowner files. The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting introduction letters, developing offer packages, preparing scopes, and conducting market data studies.You will review and check documentation for accuracy and are responsible for final internal quality control of documents and the filing of original documents in right of way records system. The selected candidate will be responsible for a successful project close out. We are looking for someone who: Worksefficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively. Isresponsible and demonstratesorganizational and planning skills. Has a desire to learn. Is analytical and detail oriented. Has excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. Thrives working in a fast-paced administrative office setting. Models strong customer service orientation. What we are offering: Generous base pay Health, dental, and vision benefits 401K and disability coverage Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional training Recognition programs, growth opportunities, and a family-friendly atmosphere Stable and steady work Here are the minimum requirements: Minimum of (2) two years experience in the Right of Way industry or as a Real Estate Paralegal Active Ohio Notary or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire Technical documentation experience (may include experience in any of the following): Land and right of way acquisition processes and documentation Public records research, land title ownership's and encumbrances and interests Due diligence review of right of way files and understanding of assignability and reversionary clauses, restrictions, fractional ownership, lease payments and terms, abandonment clauses Must be technologically proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with other electronic databases. Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems Relocation and per diem arenot provided for this position ORCis one of America's most respected right-of-way acquisition firms.
