Summary of Internship

The Internship positions provide an opportunity for engineering and science students to get hands on experience in a manufacturing & service environment.

Hiring Location: Dartford

Essential Functions:

• Become familiar with the processes required to support continuous improvement projects

• Collaborate with Operations teams to complete actions effectively

• Collaborate with team members in service and operations to create supporting documentation

• Accept feedback and look for areas of improvements

• Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern’s experience level and abilities

• To provide technical support for existing products. This will include carrying out investigations on reagents manufactured at Dartford and compilation of data for validation, stability or other technical reports

• To plan and perform scientific investigations as part of a process, method or other validation exercise or Technical Investigation

• Document clearly, concisely and securely all aims, materials, methods, results and conclusions of scientific investigations. Communicate such findings through discussions, meetings, monthly reports and other reports as required.

• Assist in the preparation of product documentation, including Validation Plans, Validation Reports and Technical Reports

• Provide technical expertise to production and QC staff as necessary.

• Provide technical expertise and back-up support for other functions within the company as required.

• Assist in maintenance and calibration of equipment

Qualifications:

• Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited bachelor’s degree in a related science or life science field

• Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in service/manufacturing/operations

• Leadership and team building skills

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team

• Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
