Synchrony VP, Third Party Identity Management in Dallas, Texas
Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, Third Party Identity Management will lead the oversight and strategy of Synchrony's Third Party Identity Management (3PM) process and platform. This position will be part of Synchrony's Identity and Access Management Technology and Governance team, which aligns to Information Security, driving critical governance of 3rd party identities and advancing Synchrony's identity governance & technology strategic roadmap to enable and protect Synchrony's workforce and systems.

Essential Responsibilities :
Agile product owner of Synchrony's Third Party Identity Management (3PM) process and platform, leading strategy, design and implementation, including oversight of all process controls, leveraging Synchrony's SAFE Agile framework
Own Synchrony's 3rd party identity risks and controls, interfacing with regulators, auditors and 2nd line of defense partners
Provide deep technical and process expertise for 3PM administration, configuration, and best practices, including integrations with other systems
Management & maintenance of 3PM data required to support the execution of platform capabilities and integrations, while maintaining compliance
Collaborate with other Synchrony technology teams and SAAS supplier to provide escalated product support, resolving escalated production issues and requests in a timely manner
Author, review, own and communicate third party identity management documentation, including processes, controls, job aids and sequence/flow diagrams
Collaborate across a wide audience of stakeholders regarding business objectives, priorities, and impact to 3rd party identity management proposed solutions
Review and update Synchrony's 3rd party identity management training course, while enforcing required course assignment and completion
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to continuously improve teammates knowledge, sustaining a continuous learning culture
Attract talent to the identity and access management (IAM) organization through promotion of our identity technology and governance services
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS/BA in technical field or Business Management and 5 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of IT experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience leading identity governance processes and technologies in a regulated environment
At least 1 year experience as an identity and access management (IAM) process control owner
Desired Characteristics:
Experience as an agile product owner / product manager working within the SAFE agile framework
Experience in IAM processes, focused on managing third-party identities within a large enterprise organization
Experience with SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management (NERM) and/or SecZetta platforms
Strong service and process design skills; especially in identity and access management
Strong executive presence, communication, presentation skills
Strong collaboration skills with both technical and business contacts
Self-starting, independent worker, organized and detail orientated
Proven analytical mindset; Ability to identify patterns or correlations within data sets
Critical attention to detail; Ability to coordinate multiple deliverables across multiple teams
Experience in owning, cultivating and managing strong, effective external relationships
Experience interfacing with external regulators and auditors as a process control owner
Experience implementing and managing IAM controls related to PCI, SOX, NIST 800-53, 800-63, 800-79-2, or 800-157 standards within the financial industry
Strong hands-on configuration and support experience of maintaining Identity Management platforms, including writing/executing API scripts
Deep understanding of business workflows and related business processes, and business impacts to/from Identity Management platforms
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
