  • This is a great opportunity to help make the Line Maintenance & GSE/Facilities teams and network stronger at American. This role is critical to delivering stronger focus on key business processes throughout the Line Maintenance operation.

  • The role is a part of the Line Maintenance team within our Technical Operations (Tech Ops) group. You’ll bring your abilities to collaborate across the entire Line maintenance system, at all levels and assist in standardizing key business processes including safety, compliance and technology.

  • Directly engage with Line Maintenance leadership to standardize and optimize processes across the entire Line Maintenance & GSE network

  • Maintain high focus on safety and compliance working with station leaders reviewing reports and other channels to strengthen our Just Culture at American

  • Work closely with other operations and safety teams to support key cross-functional efforts

  • Ensure technology platforms and devices meet the needs of the operation working closely with our IT partners

  • Collaborate with other support departments to implement more efficient practices and processes focused on safety and quality in workmanship

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Technical, Aviation or Business related field

  • Eight (8) years experience in major airline operations

  • FAA A&P license

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Five (5) years Line Maintenance including 3+ years in a cross-functional role

  • Strong knowledge of safety and compliance reporting processes

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • FAA A&P License

  • Working knowledge of Tech Ops Line focused applications (SAFE, LMO, APC) supporting business processes
