DESCRIPTION
The Retail Business Strategy Analyst will support the Director of Retail Business Strategy in enhancing operational effectiveness, improving record-keeping, and optimizing data-driven decision-making. This individual will play a crucial role in reviewing sales and operational KPIs, identifying trends and concerns, and assisting in the formulation of strategic recommendations. By providing analytical insights and structured reporting, this role will enable proactive risk management and drive improved business performance across the Premium Retail Services Wireless Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
Review sales KPIs and operational metrics to identify concerning trends, behavioral patterns, and risks affecting performance.
Conduct root-cause analysis of sales and compliance behaviors to determine potential operational or field-related issues.
Develop and maintain structured reporting to provide actionable insights for leadership.
Assist in improving internal documentation and record-keeping processes to ensure accuracy and accessibility of key operational data.
Maintain organized tracking of quality-of-sales concerns, operational risks, and compliance-related issues.
Support the development of enhanced documentation strategies to improve historical tracking of sales behaviors and corrective actions.
Draft concern communications, including detailed summaries of identified risks for leadership review.
Prepare structured updates and reports for senior leadership, ensuring clarity and direct insight into field-related challenges and solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely follow-ups on identified concerns and mitigation strategies.
Support the implementation of proactive measures to minimize risks related to sales fraud and compliance failures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related area such as Business or Analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other data bases.
SQL or Python experience, preferred.
2 years of relevant experience, preferred.
Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills with experience in data review and KPI interpretation.
Familiarity with operational and field practices within a retail or sales-driven environment.
Ability to identify behavioral patterns and root causes behind sales and operational performance trends.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and record-keeping efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or compliance-related roles is a plus, but not required.
High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.
Problem-solving ability to recognize emerging concerns and recommend strategic solutions.
Strong initiative with the ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive business information.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment weighing less than 50 pounds. This position involves viewing a computer monitor for more than 95% of the time. Job may require minimal travel, as needed.
