One component of an efficient Assembly Department, is the smooth flow of materials. It is important that the correct materials are supplied to the Assembly Personnel and the parts moved after the completed operation in a timely and efficient manner. This is the primary goal of the Assembly Department Material Handler.

The Material Handler is responsible for knowing and supplying the correct

parts for each operation performed in their area. Component stock/parts should be organized and kept in its proper place at all times.

Work area should be kept clean, neat and orderly at all times. Must be knowledgeable of each operation in the

assigned area and the parts needed to complete each operation.

Awareness of the status of inventory at each Assembly Personnel's

location is essential. Assembly Personnel must be supplied with the

components necessary for their operation and then the finished product

moved out of their way to the next operation. Stock must be promptly

moved back to its proper location after each operation has finished

running. These Assembly Personnel depend greatly on the Material

Handler for their own efficiency and the smooth operation of the

department.

Other related duties, such as changing pre-assembly fixtures, are to be

performed as assigned. Must be able to lift 40+ pounds.

Hours of operation Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5:00PM *Occasional overtime only when necessary to meet customer orders would be scheduled on Fridays from 6:30AM-3:00PM
