Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. The Digital Commerce Management (DCM) team ensures a seamless, high-quality shopping experience across Apple’s digital platforms, including Apple.com/shop, the Apple Store App, and five additional customer-facing platforms in 39 countries. Reporting to the Senior Director of Online Operations, the Director of Digital Commerce Management will lead a global team responsible for driving digital publishing and commerce operations, optimizing commerce and content workflows, and driving innovation in content management technology. This leader will balance operational excellence with creative execution, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class e-commerce experiences. Scale, optimize & implement Digital Publishing & E-Commerce Operations – Oversee digital commerce execution across Apple.com/shop, the Apple Store App, and other digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, agility, and efficiency at a global scale.

Description

Lead a Global, High-Performing Team – Build, mentor, and lead a geographically distributed team of full-time employees, contractors, and managed service vendors, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, agility, quality and continuous improvement. Strengthen Cross-Functional Partnerships – Work closely with Online Merchandising, Marketing, MarCom, Engineering and Online Operations to drive seamless execution, influence roadmaps and align digital Commerce strategies with business goals. Champion Innovation in Content Management Technology – Partner with Optimization, Product and Engineering teams to enhance commerce management systems, integrating automation, AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Optimize Content Workflow Efficiency – Drive cross-functional teams to develop and implement streamlined, scalable workflows that enhance speed, agility and quality in digital content publishing and commerce operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in digital content management, e-commerce operations, or related fields, with 7+ years in a senior leadership role managing a large global team of at least 70 people.

  • Strong talent development experience, including building, scaling, and managing high-performing teams and vendor relationships.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and partner management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven track record of scaling digital publishing operations, optimizing workflows, and implementing innovative process improvements in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Background in e-commerce, merchandising, or digital marketing, with a strong understanding of how content drives conversion and customer engagement.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $255,400 and $408,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
