Product Development Manager (SMUs and Collabs)
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Product Development Manager at Dickies looks a little like this.
The SMU Product Development Manager will lead the development and execution of global collaborations and special make-up products for the Americas region. This role requires a strategic and innovative individual with a strong background in product development and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs. The SMU Product Development Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, price/value, functionality, and style. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Product Development.

Lead the product development strategy and execution for global collaborations and Americas SMUs, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision, creative guidelines, product strategy, and business objectives.
Manage the product life cycle from concept to final production, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met according to the go-to-market calendar.
Collaborate with VF hubs, factories, cross-functional team members, including external collaboration partners, to address all development needs and ensure successful product launches.
Set up and manage the bill of materials for each style, ensuring all product development fields are correctly input in the PLM system.
Review and approve all submits, including wash, trim, graphics, embroideries, and gold seal trim cards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
Oversee the preparation and final review of tech packs before releasing them to factories and requesting quotes.
Manage sample requests and the DFM process, ensuring timely follow-up with suppliers and landing all costs for Merchant approval.
Maintain and update seasonal trackers for all products within the category, reporting development status to cross-functional teams.
Present product development strategies and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve cross-functionally to ensure all deliveries are met per Merchant’s strategies during the development phase.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5 years of experience and professional achievements.

Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Creative mindset with the ability to support innovation in product offerings.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior.
Fluency in English.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry.

Hiring Range :
$95,040.00 USD - $118,800.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
