Job Title: Slope Maintenance Foreperson

Job Status: Year Round 11 Months

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $23.50 to $26.20+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

Provide daily grooming of ski trails and terrain features on mountain. Provide day to day supervision, organization, and coordination of Slope Maintenance grooming operations. Oversee training and evaluating of department personnel. Coordinates as needed with other mountain departments. Provides daily accurate record keeping for department personnel and work logs. Performs all other duties of a snowcat operator.

Basic Requirements:

Must be in good physical shape. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to work rotating night shifts. Must be able to work outside in adverse weather conditions on uneven terrain.

Good night vision.

Valid US Driver's license.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills: Minimum of 4 years snowcat operator experience at Copper Mountain. Previous supervisory experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong supervisor skills. Good communication skills. Positive attitude. American Red Cross First Aid Certified. Above average mechanical aptitude. Able to ski or ride proficiently.
