Analyze, design, develop, validate and optimize structural designs of mechanical and electromechanical systems and products for release; conduct technical research to clarify or resolve structural problems and develop design to meet customer structural performance requirements; execute proof of concept validation tests by utilizing finite element methodologies during design, validation and launch of the products; verify accuracy of engineering specifications on CAD models to certify they agree with FEA recommendations; coordinate manufacturing or building of prototype product or system; provide quality of design deliverables to manufacturing; participate in design review activities; perform G&T tolerance stack up analysis; and use SolidWorks.

Bachelor's or its foreign educational equivalent plus 24 months experience in the job offered or 24 months experience in an alternate occupation.  Will accept 3 years of college education plus 3 years experience in the job offered or 3 years experience in an alternate occupation, in lieu of the required education and experience. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The required experience must include 24 months using SolidWorks. Travel/relocation to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S. required.
