Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

Analyze, design, develop, validate and optimize structural designs of mechanical and electromechanical systems and products for release; conduct technical research to clarify or resolve structural problems and develop design to meet customer structural performance requirements; execute proof of concept validation tests by utilizing finite element methodologies during design, validation and launch of the products; verify accuracy of engineering specifications on CAD models to certify they agree with FEA recommendations; coordinate manufacturing or building of prototype product or system; provide quality of design deliverables to manufacturing; participate in design review activities; perform G&T tolerance stack up analysis; and use Creo.

Requires Master's or its foreign educational equivalent plus 36 months experience in the job offered or 36 months experience in an alternate occupation. Will accept a bachelor's degree, or a foreign equivalent degree, followed by at least 5 years of progressive experience in the specialty, in lieu of the required education and experience. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.  The required experience must include 36 months using Creo. Travel/relocation to various unanticipated work locations throughout the U.S. required.
