Employer Leatherstocking Corp DBA The Otesaga Resort Hotel, 60 Lake Street, Cooperstown, NY 13328.

Duties: Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties in guest, office and/or public areas to assure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash/rubbish, etc. Clean guest rooms kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc. Greet and acknowledge guests. Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures. Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions. Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty. Respond to guests complaints, special requests, and take action to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping. Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures. Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service. May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects. May have turndown duties. Physical ability requirements: Lift 40 lbs. standing, sitting, walking and/or running for extended period and/or majority of the shift.

The Otesaga does not provide housing as a benefit, however, the company will assist employees in finding adequate housing during their contract.

The Otesaga provides free transportation to and from work location during the term of employment from a centralized location in Cooperstown. The pickup and drop off point for the company provided transportation will be at the following address: 4309 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, New York.

No minimum education required. 3 months experience in housekeeping is required.

Work Days: Vary Mon-Sun, 8am-5pm, 40 hours/week at $17.76-$20.00/hour. OT at $26.64-$30.00/hour when available.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday.

All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer to provide and maintain company-specific uniforms at no cost to workers.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those made by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
