Hiring for Fabricator in Coon Rapids, MN, US

 Pay $19-22/hr 1st & 2nd shift Available

Job Description

Employees will start out in grinding, where they will hold a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish the metal to a nice finish. You will cross-train into basic fabrication where you will cut metal to length utilizing a tape measure, including brake press, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. You will also help out in other departments as needed, including assembly, packaging, and paint.

Responsibilities

• Smooth out rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder.

• Cut metal to length using a tape measure.

• Operate brake press, spot welding, and buffing equipment.

• Rack parts for paint.

• Assist in other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude through previous work experience, school, or hobbies.

• Experience with sheet metal and grinding.

• Pay: $20-$23/hr to start

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing experience.

• Tape measure reading experience.

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, and machine/tool.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.09/hr.
