Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

This is the entry point for a career in project management. The primary responsibility is to assist a project manager or managers in successfully coordinating a project using the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. This position requires the development of skills in estimating, scheduling, and design to better understand the coordination of the design-build construction process.

Responsibilities

  • Support field labor

  • Provide labor feedback

  • Procure equipment and subcontractors

  • Manage document control

  • Coordinate design, trade, and subcontractors

  • Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, and estimate project changes and impacts

  • Assist in the development of project schedules

  • Read mechanical and plumbing drawings and identify work installed to track labor feedback accurately

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

  • 1+ years of mechanical experience

  • Experience with RFI/Submittal processes

  • Mechanical focus, design-build, engineering skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with a mechanical contractor and supporting project work or as a design engineer who wants to get into operations

  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and design

  • Design Build experience is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
