The Opportunity

The Associate Brand Manager works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

The Associate Brand Manager position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division. The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for managing and implementing business strategies and tactics to effectively support delivery of business objectives, including share growth, net sales and profit margin for a leading business in a complex market. Additional responsibilities include brand and market performance analysis, reporting findings and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, project management, fiscal management and contingency planning.

What You’ll Work On

  • Responsible for managing marketing activity. This may include resource creation and updates, KOL content creation and field sales force execution.

  • Lead Professional Association management and relationships

  • Own the speakers bureau and KOL strategy and execution including agency and budget management

  • Evaluate in market performance of programs to ensure that they are delivering against expectations and business objectives

  • Lead brand direct-to-consumer/ retail strategy and execution including Inside Sales Team resources ​

  • Lead Direct Marketing execution including project management, budgeting, and program analysis/ optimization

  • Identify opportunities and contingency plans to over deliver business commitments, developing recommendations and aligning them through senior leadership

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups may include the Sales team, Sales and Commercial Operations and Analytics, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Public Affairs, Legal, R&D, Sr. Leaders, Global Abbott Partners and external vendors or agencies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible Marketing product/brand management experience in either health care/OTC marketing, or consumer packaged goods marketing

  • Strong analytical skills including business and fiscal management. Previous experience with business performance analysis and reporting preferred

  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate obstacles to drive towards solutions and manage against timelines

  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly, concisely and confidently interact directly with senior leadership to influence business strategy and investment decisions

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives. Willing to support others and share best-practices

  • Capable of understanding complex category/marketplace, including marketing to and collaborating with health care professionals

  • Advanced level PC skills to include Excel and PowerPoint

  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas; Intellectual curiosity

  • The ability to manage and allocate budgets

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
