JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all activities within the Print Room to ensure timely completion of all jobs assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set up printing presses according to specifications provided by the Art Department, including paper type, ink color, plate type, and number of copies required.

  • Ensure that all materials are available at the printing station prior to starting each job.

  • Operate printing presses to produce high quality prints on time.

  • Monitor and adjust machine settings throughout production run to optimize print quality.

  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during printing, such as paper jams or ink smears.

  • Clean and maintain printing equipment after each use to prevent damage and prolong lifespan.

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate print needs and deadlines.

  • Assist in proofreading and editing artwork to ensure accuracy before printing.

  • Maintain organized records of all completed jobs, including date, customer information, and billing details.

  • Adhere to safety guidelines when handling chemicals and heavy machinery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred but not required.

  • Ability to operate large format printers, laminators, and cutters.

  • Knowledge of prepress and postpress processes.

  • Experience in graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

  • Basic knowledge of digital printing technology.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data entry and tracking.
