BAE Systems Junior Tier 2 Helpdesk Analyst in Columbia, South Carolina

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to serve on a Tier 2 technical support helpdesk, staffed to provide remote, over-the-phone administration, support, and technical assistance to EOUSA and USAO IT Systems Manager Staff in 94 US Attorney Offices.

The Junior System Administrator must possess a solid working knowledge of networks, servers and desktop applications with the ability to multitask while monitoring and working through issues on both phone calls and emails.

Background:

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys' (EOUSA) is responsible for providing administrative, technical and operation support to all 94 United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) located in over 252 geographically dispersed sites throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Guam, the Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The EOUSA General Integration (GI), Network Operations and Services (NOS), Enterprise Application Development (EAD) and Cyber Services Staff (CSS) provide for the identification and analysis of the business needs/requirements to USAOs necessary for the design, development, and deployment of secure office automation, wide and local area networking, case management and other applications. All four of these staffs must rely, however, on contractors to deliver many of the high-level technical services needed to maintain the technology deployed in EOUSA and USAOs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

Associate's degree in computer science or related field; OR

CompTIA A certification; OR

2 years IT help desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment; OR

2 years experience in Windows Active Directory, network, IT operations and IT hardware support

Able to attain a security clearance (see additional details below)

Skill Sets Anticipated:

  • Ability and knowledge to perform primary systems administration and support for systems and equipment in a Windows Active Directory environment, to include steady-state file print servers, domain controllers, applications servers, media storage systems, access control, hardware installations, wiring/cabling support, equipment rack re-locations, power source support, backup media rotations, installations/upgrades, OS configurations, problem resolution, system administration, data backup/recovery.

  • Expertise and technical proficiencies in providing steady-state support for deployed desktop and laptop images using enterprise-wide deployment techniques. Ability to execute routine updates to deployed systems. Experience in monitoring OS and security patching. Able to support routine software patch updates via a Desktop/Server enterprise management system such as BigFix and Microsoft SCCM. Able to leverage Printer and Multifunction printer enterprise management tools. Proficient background in administration, monitoring and steady-state maintenance support is required. Understanding of enterprise-level server and desktop systems and latest Microsoft Server technologies to include supporting deployed hardware and software. Ability to support steady-state enterprise-wide upgrades and changes to associated systems. Ability to monitor systems to ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards.

  • Knowledge and experience in supporting steady-state systems Backup, Restore and Recovery procedures.

Security Requirements:

All personnel, including the support required by this initiative, must be United States Citizens, and must meet the DOJ Residency Requirement. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to assure that proposed employees for each aspect of this task have met federal investigative standards and are suitable for employment and/or access to national security information. Certification of requirements from either the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) or the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) will be required. The minimum investigation required is to be cleared for a BI and can be expected to hold up to a Top Secret clearance. The minimum investigation required is to be cleared to hold Secret clearance. Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
