Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the insurance industry, based in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves joining our team as a Customer Service Representative - Producer Services, where you will handle customer service duties in a contact center environment.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure a superior customer experience through incoming calls and emails in a high-volume, fast-paced contact center.
• Take full responsibility for the timely handling of customer requests in a detail oriented, accurate and efficient manner.
• Build quick rapport and respond to customers compassionately, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
• Utilize multiple systems and applications to research, analyze and resolve customer inquiries.
• Uphold performance and quality standards across all tasks.
• Analyze information to make appropriate decisions and solve problems, while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Learn and apply basic concepts of personal lines insurance principles and products offered.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and business partners to enhance customer experience.
• Be able to work a scheduled shift between the hours of 7 am-8 pm CST.
• Assist with special requests and complete additional tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements • Exceptional customer service skills are required, with a proven track record in providing superior customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed.
• Knowledge of operations and the ability to effectively manage them is crucial.
• Research abilities are necessary for this role.
• Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls is required.
• Knowledge of insurance, specifically in areas such as claim administration, underwriting, and disability claims, is important.
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is a plus.
• Experience in revenue accounting and performing ad hoc financial tasks is required.
• Understanding of property-related matters is necessary.
• Strong collaboration skills are needed to work effectively with business partners.
• Understanding of fundamental principles related to the job role is required.
• Basic computer skills are a must.
• Ability to work onsite is crucial.
• Strong decision-making skills are necessary.
• Ability to uphold and maintain quality standards is vital.
