Salary Range : $43,889 - $53,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work Location: The work location for this position is on-site.

Summary
The Event Operations Coordinator would be a part of the event production team housed in the University Center and Event Services Department. This position would carry out and assist in the facilitation of the day-to-day event production operational efforts. This includes set up and tear down of event spaces, audio visual setup and troubleshooting, oversight and training of the student employee team, and creation of event space setup diagrams. The schedule of this position is event based, and nights and weekend availability is essential.

Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Venue and event space setup and teardown including the transportation of materials, tables, and technology
Audio visual setup and teardown including working directly with the client on-site regarding A/V requirements and troubleshooting
Provide leadership and oversight of the student employee production team
Develop and carry out training for the student employee production team
Store and organize all production materials in the proper way ensuring all items are safely stored and maintained
Facilitate the inventory system, including scheduling regular inventory checks, tracking equipment usage, and planning for the replacement of production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime
Provide recommendations to the Production leadership team on potential materials and technology purchases to ensure efficient and satisfactory event space setup
Utilize diagramming software for event planning and setup to ensure efficient and satisfactory setup and teardown of spaces
Coordinate reservation, delivery, and load out of vendor equipment rentals when needed
Work with clients and Event Coordinators to design and implement audio and video solutions for events
Provide audiovisual and technical support as needed for events including troubleshooting and supporting other event staff
Assist in scheduling student employees as needed for production needs
Participates on various UCES department work teams and represents UCES on campus wide committees
Assist and provide recommendations regarding strategic planning and on-going assessment for event production team
Assist in the set-up and tear down for Fall and Spring commencement
Enforce fire code for events
Maintain upkeep and care for physical spaces including Dwire 204, Heller Center, and other Auxiliary Spaces
Maintain unit policies, terms and conditions, and procedures regarding event production
Tentative Search Timeline

Qualifications
Must have post foundational experience in an event production role.
A valid driver's license is required.
Experience supporting or coordinating event logistics initiatives is required.
A bachelor's degree in public service, Administration, Business, or related degree is preferred.
Experience in a higher education environment and experience with audio visual setup and troubleshooting is preferred.
