As pilot of the Mechanical range innovation and communication strategies, he/she draws up and implements the global marketing plans for Mechanical products and leads a short/long-term innovation plan, in collaboration with R&D, to meet established business objectives.

Position Summary

The Mechanical Product Manager position is a critical role at MAPA Professional with global mechanical range responsibility and participation on elaborating short-medium-long term strategy, developing user insights driven innovation, working on renovation projects, and taking care of the portfolio management.

The ideal candidate will bring 5 + years of brand & innovation management experience.

MAPA SPONTEX is a $370m Net Sales BU.

MAPA Professional activity is $130m Net Sales, 55% in EMEA, rest mostly in USA and LATAM.

Key responsibilities

- Participate to the elaboration of the 3-year global strategy and tactical plans for the Mechanical range that align with overall business objectives, both in terms of growth & profitability. Pilot the Mechanical range deployment

- Lead and coordinate new products developments with the different departments of the company, from concept stage to the elaboration of launch kits (communication tools, sales selling stories...)

- Carry out market, range performances analysis & benchmark

- Lead range renovation projects and portfolio management (regulatory update, pack changes, savings projects…)

- Participate to decisions meetings and strategy meetings (marketing plans…)

- Lead specific task forces to identify new business opportunities (i.e. Industry focus)

- Train newcomers and sales teams on new products

- Work on transversal topics (brand visibility, website optimization)

- Management of 1 Junior product manager + 1 assistant.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & PROFILE

- 5 + years of brand management experience including innovation management experience ( Personal Protective Equipment / BtoB or BtoC)

- Proven ability in team management.

- Prior demonstration of being a range steward, driving brand value on the market

- Experience of collecting insights and competitor/c ategory benchmarks to make meaningful recommendations

- Proven ability in managing priorities and building solid recommendations

- Interested by technicity and complexity even if not an expert yet of the products and rules

- Not afraid of complex and long developments

- Key soft skills include proactivity, rigor, autonomy, motivation, integrity, accountability, and positive mindset.

- We are looking for someone that can go ahead of the given tasks and able to see the big picture. A future driving force for the team

- Fluent English essential.
