Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Software Developer to provide the government with support to a Navy software factory. The FORGE is a modernization effort to deliver cutting-edge software development practices and technologies to the Fleet. There is a heavy emphasis on modern practices such as leveraging containerization in both production and development environments for full-stack application and services. This role will work with the Government and contractor teams to develop software products that will directly support Navy and FORGE professionals.

Requirements
0-3 years as a software developer or programmer.
Experience with any standard programming language, e.g., Java, GoLang, Rust, etc.
Ability to quickly learn new languages and design paradigms.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Comfortable working as part of an Agile development team.
Basic technical diagram comprehension skills, e.g., UML, sequence diagrams.
Basic knowledge of Linux and containerization technologies.
Thorough knowledge of how to apply containerization technologies for both development and production use cases is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and proactively.
Good technical communication skills are a plus as teams are distributed and meetings are primarily digital.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study.
Personnel Clearance Level:
Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.
Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
Follow the Agile software development life-cycle.
Assist with the design and implementation of full-stack software services and UI Applications.
Analyze, debug, and optimize code.
Create unit tests.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually.
