The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Guide Runner - Modified Track Coach. The successful candidate will need to:

• Accompany student-athletes with visual impairments during practices, workouts, and competitions;

• Provide clear verbal instructions and guidance regarding terrain changes, obstacles, and course directions;

• Maintain constant communication and establish trust and rapport with the runner you are guiding;

• Adjust pace and level of assistance according to the runner’s preferences and abilities;

• Ensure the safety and well-being of the runner throughout practices and competitions.

Job Qualifications

• • NYS Coaching Certification

• Physical ability to run with visually impaired student-athletes
