Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings. Provide guidance concerning business implications of development projects. Guide and oversee project and design reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets policies, principles, and standards. Communicate effectively with internal partners and customers to deliver requirements. Guide and oversee the IT organization standards for process management. Guide and oversee departmental processes and procedures in support of team goals. Operational Management Apply Solution Architecture frameworks and practices. Ensure consistent solution design practices and principles across all implementations. Maintain relationships with key consumers of data engineering services and address concerns as they arise. Provide guidance on standards and implementation requirements for supported solutions. Develop and maintain understanding of key processes, schedules, cycles, profiles, etc. for the technical systems in use by business. Develop solutions to leverage SaaS platform functionality and suggest process improvements. Provide regular, clear, and consistent communication (written and oral) on the status of projects, issues, and deliverables to representatives from the partner/vendor. Manage and oversee staffing, performance and resource management. Define and implement strategic direction of the team. Set employee objectives, monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback and mentoring. Create and maintain development plans for each team member, including training, skills assessment, goals, and career planning.
