" Other Positions Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities Include: Supporting Architectural and Industrial paint/coatings formulation work aligned with raw material platform strategies. Performing lab paint/coating testing including standard quality control testing as well as various film performance testing (e.g. block, stain, adhesion, hardness, etc.. Support of routine experiments, recording results and learning basic knowledge of equipment/computing tools to capture and record data Communication within the project team regarding project needs and status Developing basic knowledge and understanding of product lines and raw materials Executes and analyzes experiments and provides regular updates Establishes timelines for assignments based on priorities with assistance from their supervisor. Identifies and resolves development hurdles. Authors basic reports, outlines procedures used, and results obtained. Recognizes problems and implements corrective actions to resolve issues Analyzes data, being to draw conclusions and makes recommendations Proficient in operating moderately complex lab instruments. Safety and Quality Participate in HKE & safety initiatives for the team Follow Safety, Housekeeping, and ISO practices established Follow quality standards, such as ITMs and ICMs & maintain certification Actively seek to reduce risk through corrective action of unsafe practices Routinely Document lab results and pertaining technical information in electronic lab notebook and/or project folder per ISO standards POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in country for which you are applying for employment Must have a High School Diploma KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: At least 1 years in a lab, manufacturing, professional painting, or equivalent setting Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Demonstrated time management, planning & organization skills Proven problem-solving / decision-making ability Previous experience in a lab setting Preferred: Previous Commercialization and/or paint making experience Ability to interact effectively with various levels of technical experience Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
