As a Physical Therapists, you will utilize various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. A caregiver in this position works weekend days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Weekday availability is a plus!

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients and communicate to referral sources about patient's initial condition, progress, and discharge disposition.

• Complete patient related and non-patient related documentation in a timely manner.

• Delegate and supervise the patient care of PTAs, support staff and students.

• Achieve personal and professional development through participation in continuing education, in-services, orientation programs and student programs.

• Market services to patients, referral sources and the public.

• Organize work assignments and time, without compromising quality patient care, to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.

• Follow system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

• Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.

• Maintain applicable certification/licensure.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or certificate

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy in Ohio

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Experience in relevant clinical area.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking and climbing stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling

• Lifting and reaching with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program

• Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse

• Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors

• Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families

• Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
