The Sherwin-Williams Company Finance Director, Procurement in Cleveland, Ohio

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS This position is responsible for the achievement of Center of Excellence Procurement business results through controlling costs, managing to budget, driving continuous improvement opportunities, reducing working capital metrics, and influencing organizational decisions. This position will lead the annual operating plan process for Procurement, manage project accountability, and drive on-going Financial and Procurement metric analysis. This position has direct responsibility for the Procurement Finance team. Major Tasks Performed: Lead financial and operational reporting aspects of global procurement spend (Direct Materials in NA and Directs/Indirects/CapEx for rest of world). Key business partner to the SVP, Global Procurement. Drive continuous improvement results through project management with the Purchasing Directors. Lead financial support for enterprise simplification projects. Support key supplier contract negotiations through financial modeling and business acumen support. Manage and maintain key internal controls for procurement in partnership with procurement, finance and legal teams. Lead monthly and annual communication on key economic indicators, price changes, and other supplier related KPIs. Serve as key Procurement liaison to Business Transformation team for system implementations. Partner with Indirect Procurement teams to ensure alignment and achievement of GSC related strategies. Manage Procurement Finance team. Support Procurement Business Analytics and market intelligence team(s) as needed. Lead the annual procurement budgeting process globally (raw materials and functional). Principal Accountabilities: Achievement of financial/procurement metrics through influence over business decisions. Establish measurements that accurately reflect results and identify specific deficiencies for improvement. Monitor process trends and recommend actions to improve capability. Develop a strong and cohesive Financial team to support the growth of the business. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Preferred: MBA or CPA KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: At least 15 years of financial experience Demonstrated experience with Industrial / OEM operations environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Problem solving and analytical skills Previous experience with Microsoft Office including Excel Previous managerial experience, including muti-site operations Previous experience managing a budgeting process Preferred: Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or statistical techniques TRAVEL: Required: 25% Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
