Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Per Diem or PRN Hours Available

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking local per diem and PRN Physical Therapist for our Howard County and surrounding outpatient orthopedic centers. We have teams in Clarksville (River Hill) Columbia, and Olney preparing for coverage needs. Per diem is as needed for vacation coverage, illness, emergencies or caseload influx. There are no set hours for PRN with initial coverage needs pointing to ourClarksvillecenter. We are unable to consider new graduate PTs. At least one year of recent experience in an OP ortho setting is required to be considered. Flexibility and dependability are key.

We are NovaCare throughout Maryland and open as early as 7AM with latest area center closing at 8PM weekdays only. Our last patient is scheduled an hour prior to close. Our clinicians average 10-12 patients in an eight hour day with 60 minute evals and 45 minute visits. Our physical therapists treat a diverse caseload of teens through geriatrics that will include general ortho, industrial, vestibular, concussion, neuro, oncology, fall prevention, hand therapy, and dry needling rehabilitative services.NovaCare's highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. Medical benefits are unavailable for per diem PTs, but we CAN discuss your participation with our local CEU accrediting courses once you are on board.

Responsibilities

• Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.

• Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.

• Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.

• Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.

• Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited PT school

• Valid State Physical Therapist License

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
