Job Description

A large financial organization is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer for a contract with the potential for hire opportunity. Although there is a preference for candidates that can be hybrid and come onsite to their office in Cincinnati, this position can be remote (working EST) for an all-star candidate.

The Principal SRE will be leading payment rail resiliency efforts to drive support so that the payment systems can keep running smoothly and reliably and ensure that downstream customers of this B2B product have minimal interruptions. Additionally, this person will be responsible for supporting:

 · Working with vendors to add more resiliency

 · L3 application support - Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis activities

 · Integrations

 · Building out performance, monitoring, and logging for the applications

 · Ensuring data flow modifying data that flows into Dynatrace/Splunk so that it can be used

 · Develop automation, processes, and tools

 · Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Error Budgets for all critical services

Lead initiatives to improve CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment

Skills and Requirements

· 5-8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering

 · Strong programming/software engineering background (Java or Python)

 · Payment rails experience (ACH, RTP or wire transfer)

 · Dynatrace (for monitoring) AND Splunk (for logging)

 · AWS cloud experience

Expertise in automation and orchestration systems like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible · Cobol programming or supporting cobol applications

 · Familiarly with APM solutions(Application performance management (APM) solutions)

 · Familiarity with SLAs, SLIs, SLOs, null
