Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in CINCINNATI, Ohio. In this role, you'll be tasked with an array of responsibilities ranging from overseeing accounting operations to implementing process improvements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to our team's success.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and cash applications

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and account reconciliations

• Supervise and provide mentorship to a team of accounting professionals

• Drive the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

• Lead capital expenditure management and provide support in expense report processing

• Deliver insightful variance analysis and financial insights to senior leadership

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external audits

• Support monthly and year-end close processes

• Participate in and contribute to special projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur software

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding and experience with all Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Proficiency in Billing Functions

• Ability to handle Month-end Journal Entries

• Must have a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
