Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to perform basic and complicated maintenance functions as well as preventative maintenance and routine repairs on our delivery truck fleet.

Salary and Benefit Statement:

Any offered salary is determined based on the union collective bargaining unit and certifications held.

$34.25-$40.25/Hr. (includes $.50 night shift differential)

SIGN-ON BONUS $1,500 ($500 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months)

This position is eligible for union benefits including health care, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7 AM-3:30 PM for 2-4 weeks for training

Monday-Thursday 7 PM-5:30 AM, 4 10-hour days after training

Responsibilities

1. To perform the following truck repair and maintenance functions on a night shift:

2. Perform preventative maintenance and routine repair as needed.

3. The ability to repair vehicles on the street as needed.

4. Ability to perform and/or service other class 3-8 truck equipment and general maintenance functions such as troubleshooting, lubricating, adjustments, replace and repairing parts as needed

5. Intermediate understanding of electrical systems, computer-controlled engine diagnostics, and basic related controls.

6. Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years’ experience or equivalent education

• Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines

• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Class B CDL License

• Ability to provide their own basic set of mechanics’ hand and air-operated power tools

• 3+ years of experience in a related area

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone
