We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Supervisor – Data Verification on our Health Solution team. As a Supervisor – Data Verification, you will supervise the collection and maintenance of physician practice and communication data to help ensure the quality and comprehensiveness of the Physician Professional Data and to support AMA business activities. Oversee all online updating of practice and communications data, and work with IT to establish or redefine processing business rules as the need arises. Identify, track and report on opportunities to enhance current procedures. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring # days a week in the office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all manual processing of quality, practice and communications data requests. Review AIMS address load error reports to devise and implement strategies for maximizing the quality and quantity of address updates. Manage and align staff so that data is updated quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively to ensure that processing and quality goals are met.

  • Manage the coordination and tracking of reported data discrepancies associated with Physician Assistant Profiles. Serve as subject matter expert and liaison between the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) to ensure the proper and expeditious coordination of documents.

  • Manage processing of GME Competency Education Program (GCEP) files ensuring that medical education numbers are correctly matched to PPD records facilitating correct application of membership dues.

  • Manage staff adherence to established rules and standards to reconcile data discrepancies utilizing available tools such as QAS, Nexis and AlumniFinder, etc. Proactively seek out data collection opportunities within the association by building relationships with managers and staff that have direct contact with medical students, residents, or physicians. Create and implement strategic quality initiatives that will improve practice and communication data.

  • Manage customer service, performance management and administrative activities within the unit to ensure that departmental goals are met. Develop and maintain a new performance tracking system to monitor operator compliance with processing guidelines. Provide a monthly reporting of unit activity.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

  • 5+ Years of Data management experience or related work experience required

  • Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred. Established and documented experience in health services and information management required.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects to succeed in a results driven environment.

  • Must be able to develop organizational talent through ongoing mentoring, training and measurement.

  • Polished interpersonal skills, including proven liaison and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff.

  • Must be detailed oriented and very sensitive to deadlines.

  • Strong problem solving skills required.

  • Ability to work independently is critical.

  • Must be able to tolerate a high stress environment with a heavy workload.
