Job Description:

The Senior Manager - Tech Lead is responsible for driving the Engineering squads towards completing the backlog, leading the development of the product/platform features, and daily activities of the squad. They focus on complex products and may be the line manager to several manager level Tech Leads.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of C# engineers dedicated to the Global Kiosk Application product by providing technical mentorship during agile sprint ceremonies and day to day interactions.

  • Responsible for helping the team craft and estimate implementation tasks, lead implementation work streams, and mentor junior team members.

  • Provide direction on architecture approach, application implementation mentorship, and design decisions to be flexible to accommodate current business needs and future changing requirements, ensuring minimal complexity with code and design.

  • Partner with key collaborators, like Product Management, Solution Architecture, Data & Analytics, and Security, to align technology strategies with product roadmaps. It involves defining platform architecture, setting technical requirements, setting quality and scalability metrics, guiding decisions on architecture, system design, and technical strategy, including cloud platform services, and assuring the technology stack supports the product objectives.

  • Participate in release preparation, planning, and deployment.

  • Support the hiring and professional development of engineers in partnership with the Delivery Office as needed.

  • Provide frameworks and governance for clickstream analytics, Design system components, Audio Navigation, and other common integrations.

  • You will also be responsible for the quality of the work and develop your team in standards, code reviews, product demos, and other presentations to develop your leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Requires minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related technology field.

  • Requires 5+ years of progressively responsible IT leadership experience.

  • Experience with application frameworks/languages like C#, .NET, Angular or NextJS

  • Proficient in key architecture concepts and principles, including Domain-Driven Design, Microservices, REST APIs, etc.

  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • Experience taking care of the security and compliance side of software development.

  • Experienced with owning quality and standard processes in automation and testing.

  • Experienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring services.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to explain complex technical decisions to non-technical partners.

  • Previous experience with Kiosk solutions and basic understanding of the supporting business processes
