Job Summary:

The company is a cutting-edge battery materials company helping to enable the American battery revolution. The company recently moved into a state-of-the-art factory in Chicago's West Loop and is now looking to hire key manufacturing personnel. This is an opportunity to join a fun and hard-working team and start and run a brand-new factory.

Job Responsibilities:

-Operate, set up, and maintain manufacturing equipment

-Maintain accurate records including collection of data and traceability information

-Take careful measurements and perform laboratory testing to check product quality

-Identify areas for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing

-Maintain production floor and lab environment to ensure production is on track

-Troubleshoot and report issues and malfunctions

-Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians

-Keep track of supply inventory and reorder materials as needed. The candidate will be apart of purchasing/vendor calls.

-Follow written procedures

-Help draft and edit new standard operating procedures

MUST HAVES:

-Associate Degree in Engineering minimum

-Minimum 3 years of experience working within manufacturing, operations, or quality within a chemical environment

-Proficient in Technical Writing/Standard Operating Procedure

-Proficient in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing

-Candidates must be open to hands-on work - any experience with batch making and mixing is a PLUS

-Have a Mechanical Troubleshooting experience

PLUS HAVES:

-Experience in Quality Assurance

-Experience with Powders, Food, Pharmaceuticals, or Metal Processing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.06 - $38.46/hr.
