Sargent & Lundy Power Platform Developer - Nuclear Power Projects in Chicago, Illinois
Description
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.
As a Power Platform developer you will apply your technical skills to meet project and client needs for creating and maintaining tools to support project teams. This work will include interfacing directly with project management and team leads to create custom applications to support specific business processes using the Power Platform suite of tools such as PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and AI Builder using Dataverse and SQL Server environments. Under the direction of a project lead, you will be responsible for:
Design, build, and thoroughly test high-quality, efficient, applications for automating core business processes.
Utilize your expertise in MS PowerApps to provide application development support to other team members.
Manage a development schedule, regularly updating the project manager on progress towards automation milestones.
Ensure adherence to SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Citizen Developer guidelines to promote the adoption of best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Design in-solution proper exception handling, metric reporting, global variables, and other best practices.
Own code quality, unit testing and packaging of all work.
Collaborate directly with the to clarify and further define the backlog and prioritization of work.
Communicate clearly estimating, planning, and managing all his/her own work and progress reporting.
Effectively documenting all his/her own work for knowledge sharing within the team as well as the wider IT organization.
There is the potential for you to travel to client office for project coordination meetings
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
2 years of project experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Power Automate, Dataverse, and related M365 workloads.
Hands-on experience with MS Power Apps and other applications within the MS PowerPlatform.
Post-secondary graduate
Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle Management.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with integrating and connecting Power Apps with various data sources such as Dataverse and SQL Server using Power Automate.
Experience with writing technical requirements, test scripts and knowledge of software programming languages and technologies.
