The Information Technology Associate is a critical member of the Information Technology and Systems team, working collaboratively within the team as well as cross-functionally with other departments and programs to provide remote and on-site help desk support, assist with maintaining agency equipment, and be a supportive liaison between system users and the IT department.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Provides remote and on-site assistance and technical support.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and implements corrective action procedures.
Responsible for the maintenance of computers, printers, cabling and displays.
Maintains and updates equipment inventory systems as needed.
Assists in the support of multiple phone systems statewide.
Acts as a liaison between the IT department and system users.
Works with supervisor or senior IT staff to assist in resolving site related issues.
Maintains current knowledge about the software used by the organization.
Monitors changes in computer industry.
Candidate qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years technology support or related experience with emphasis on technical problem-solving skills required.
Associate degree in technology preferred.
General knowledge of the workings of computers, Local Area Network (LAN) and their peripherals preferred.
A proven ability to work independently without supervision in a customer service environment preferred.
Experience in a social service agency is highly desirable.
Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: Salary Range $46,000-$48,000; offers are commensurate with experience. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. Location: Hybrid (in-office 2x per week required); Home office is located at 100 N Western Ave. Ability to travel to other Illinois sites Northern (Rockford) and Central (Bloomington and Champaign) for on-site support required.
Schedule: Full-time, salaried; general business hours with some flexibility for special projects.
