Smithbucklin, a 650-person, employee-owned professional services company with more than 70 years of success serving the association market, with primary offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C. is looking for a Membership & Operations Education Associate to join our Association Management Unit in our Chicago office. The Education Associate plays an integral role in supporting and guiding the nonprofit volunteers and members from our client organizations.

The HR Operations Specialist will have primary areas of responsibility in reporting and metrics, compensation analysis, compliance and general HR. This individual will be an integral part of the HR team and will collaborate with HR business partners, HR centers of expertise, and our Director of DEI. The HR Operations Specialist must be able to interact with employees in a professional and approachable manner. The role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders to understand their business challenges and present data driven solutions. Having a strong client service, solution driven mindset is key. What You Will Do
HR Reporting
Provide reporting at regular intervals as well as ad hoc to HR and senior management
Identify, recommend and develop metrics and reporting which may also include HR dashboards
Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources, including ADP Workforce Now, internal surveys, onboarding and exit interviews, employment records, etc.
Ensure data accuracy in HR systems
Perform internal data audits at regular intervals
Audit the accuracy of all employee data in HRIS (ADP); may also include Success Factors
Provide support to employees with HRIS system issues
Make modifications to the HRIS structure as needed
Compensation
Participate in compensation market surveys and perform salary analysis and benchmarking, both annually and ad hoc
Prepare and report on annual employee performance review compensation workbooks
Process annual merit increases, promotions and salary adjustments across the company
Compliance
Support initial compliance and ongoing preparation, testing, and monitoring of conformance to the requirements of legislation, regulations and company policies
Manage the completion of regulatory compliance reporting (e.g., AAP and EEO-1) through collaboration with stakeholders
Draft, implement and manage ongoing governance of HR policies
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources and employment law
General HR
HR processes & practices:
Support the maintenance of key HR processes with regards to system updates and changes: onboarding, offboarding, job transfers, compensation changes, etc.
Create, preserve and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with regard to compensation practices, HRIS information, and reporting
Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process changes

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field
4 years of related experience
Advanced level MS Excel; proficient in MS PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Previous HR experience inclusive of systems a plus
ADP Workforce Now experience

Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
